Nowadays, the conversation about intimate aspects of life has become more open and devoid of unnecessary taboos. This is the second time Gedeon Richter Poland has conducted the “Sexual Map of Polish Women” survey, which sheds interesting light on current trends and changes in Polish women’s attitudes toward erotic life and intimate health.
Sex as a way to build relationships and… relieving stress
One of the most important conclusions from the report “Sexual Map of Polish Women 2023” is that Polish women are extremely sexually active (as many as 95 percent of respondents have sex regularly) and treat intercourse as an important element of building a relationship with a partner, a way to improve mood or relieve stress. It is worth noting that the motivation to sex are traditional social roles, such as procreation or marital duty. There is also a growing awareness and acceptance of one’s sexual needs.

“In my experience, more and more women now know how to talk without shame about their bodies, health, including reproductive health (they no longer use terms like “down there” or “those days”). Age of sexual initiation skyrocketed
The study , “Sexual Map of Polish Women 2023,” clearly indicated that the age of sexual initiation has decreased from roughly 20 to 17, which may be related to both faster sexual maturation of women and greater openness about sex. This is important because it reduces pressure and allows young women to approach their sexuality more consciously.
What about the frequency of sex?
“Responses on the frequency of sex were quite varied. However, it can be said that on average, Polish women have intercourse several times a month. A noticeable correlation is that younger women are more likely to make love. The desire for sex also increases in people who are in a fairly recent relationship. As much as 60 percent. When are we most likely to have sex?
Most of us opt for moments of intimacy on… Saturday nights, according to the survey “Sexual Map of Polish Women 2023,” with as many as 19 percent. Respondents indicated this time as their favorite. Less popular are Friday and Sunday evenings, which were indicated by only 4 percent. female respondents. The responses clearly emphasize that weekends are a time to indulge in pleasures – including carnal ones. Interestingly, the survey results also bring clear answers to the question of preferred time of day for intimate activity. In this regard, a clear advantage lies on the side of the evenings, which indicated as much as 55 percent. female respondents, while 33 percent. What really excites us?
It turns out that Polish women value closeness and a nice romantic evening with their partner above all (56% of respondents). Among women who choose to explore with the help of “external support,” the most popular choice turns out to be a vibrator, with as many as 69 percent opting for it. researched. The dark side of the report

“Even more alarming are the data that may point to the reasons for this. As many as one in ten Polish women do not regularly visit a gynecologist. This is especially true for young women, aged 18-25 – in this group, only 28 percent use the services of these specialists. In contrast, more than half of Polish women (52 percent) who have ever been to a gynecologist say they have experienced mistreatment at a gynecologist’s office. This usually manifested itself in dismissive comments from the doctor, such as: “That’s your beauty” or “It hurts because it has to hurt.” This shows us that there is still a lot of work to be done in Poland in terms of the availability and quality of services related to women’s intimate health and their awareness of the subject.” – Kamila Raczynska comments.
About the report
The “Sexual Map of Polish Women” report is an important tool for identifying areas for improvement in sexuality and intimate health. Although Poland is becoming more open to discussing the issue, there are still many areas that need attention and action to educate and support. Gedeon Richter is contributing to the development of awareness and healthy attitudes of Polish women towards their sexuality with this study.
The study involved 1,076 Polish women between the ages of 18 and 69. The study groups included both women from large, small cities and those living in rural areas.
