You were already looking forward to the winter holidays. You counted down the days, put the finishing touches on everything at work and picked up your skis from the service center. The time has come for packing. And while you know that a warm sweater or an extra pair of wool socks will come in handy, do you know what else is sure to come in handy? We have prepared a guide for you, “Going skiing – how to prepare?”

lipstick

Moisturizing your lips is a must on the slopes. Variable weather, wind, frost or humidity makes our lips chapped, dry, burning. There are several ways to avoid this unpleasant feeling. You can take care of your comfort already in the evening: the night before you plan to leave, apply honey to your lips. Its effect is salutary, plus it has a delicious taste. It contains only natural ingredients and is… a really sweet pleasure! On the slopes it will be more comfortable to use lipsticks. Here you are limited only by your imagination: on the market you can find lipsticks in flavors, fragrances, in a great many colors and shapes. Choose one that, in addition to flavor or fragrance, will be practical to use: thick gloves can make it difficult to unscrew and twist the stick. Cosmetic petroleum jelly is also a very good idea. Moisturizes and shines lips, prevents peeling and cracking of the epidermis.

Put the lipstick in your pocket so that it always accompanies you on the slopes.

sunscreen

Some may be surprised, as they tend to associate sunscreen with vacations on a hot beach. Nothing could be further from the truth! Although it is indispensable then, it is also worth using in winter, during skiing. Let’s not forget that being on very high slopes, we are exposed to strong sunlight. Unprepared for this, skin often suffers sunburn. We can avoid this in a very easy way – by applying sunscreen before going out skiing. Let’s remember to choose it appropriately for our complexion. This will allow us to return from vacation with a beautiful tan and not to worry about the skin coming off.

hand cream

Although we wear thick gloves in winter, the skin on our hands also needs our care. It is essential to moisturize it as often as possible, preferably every time you wash your hands. However, it’s worth taking a tube of cream with you on skis as well: a small one will even fit in your jacket pocket. This way, anytime we feel our hands start to burn, redden and dry, we can apply a protective layer of cream to them. Our hands will also be helped by a spare pair of gloves: they will come in handy when they get wet and start to chill our hands.

The hand cream will protect your skin from frost irritation.

makeup

Although it is not an essential part of winter madness, some women do not move without makeup even on the slopes. In this situation, we especially recommend waterproof cosmetics: so mascara or eyeliner will not smudge, and we will not have to wonder if we still look impeccable. While makeup will undoubtedly add to our beauty, we recommend taking the opportunity to take a break from cosmetics. Let’s give our skin a break from daily painting and catch an opportunity to improve our skin tone!

vitamin a ointment

When we don’t have time to shop, don’t know what cosmetic to opt for, or lack the space to carry creams and lipsticks with us, we can always replace all the products mentioned… with vitamin A ointment! Although it is very inconspicuous, it can work wonders. It is available in almost every pharmacy, costs about 3 zloty, but its greatest advantage is its universal effect. It will help with cracked skin on heels, dry hands and lips. It is worth applying it to the face and under the eyes at night – it works great as a cream, plus it is often said to be able to rejuvenate the skin and improve its appearance. So if we need to make a quick decision on what to take with us to the slopes, let’s not hesitate and choose vitamin A ointment.
