The Rococo style<\/strong> was created in the 18th century and appeared in European art from 1720 to 1780. He was also present in literature. It was said to be the final phase of the Baroque. Rococo was most popular in France, and it flourished during the reign of King Louis XV. From France it traveled to Bavaria, Prussia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Russia. Wavy lines were characteristic of Rococo. Stucco, paneling and plafonds were used. Soft pastel colors decorated the interiors. Ornaments with shells were used very often. From the name rocaille, meaning shell, comes the name of this style. Flowers, garlands, fruits, plants and exotic motifs were typical. The legs of the furniture were curved and decorated with marquetry or inlay. Furniture upholstery was pastel, often decorated with floral motifs. <\/p>\n\n

Baroque was characterized by contrast, pomposity, dark and bright colors. Baroque was based on symmetry, while Rococo was built on asymmetry. In the Baroque, scale and size were important, while Rococo was dominated by attention to detail and jewelry work. Rococo style was more sophisticated and more delicate, and not as spectacular as the Baroque style. Rococo in a modern interior <\/strong>also looks very nice. Beautiful Rococo decorations <\/strong>are a unique decoration and determine the character of the interior. <\/p>\n\n
